This National Science Week, the Marine Stewardship Council and its partners are hosting ten events in four locations across the country to build public support for sustainable fishing.
With support from the Australian Government, events are taking place in Hobart (TAS), Darwin (NT), Goolwa (SA) and Geraldton (WA).
The events will inspire audiences across Australia with events ranging from arts and crafts to behind-the-scenes factory tours, treasure hunts, indigenous perspectives, and pub quizzes. Those attending will better understand concepts around sustainable fishing such as how to reduce bycatch, end overfishing, eradicate seafood fraud and protect marine biodiversity.
The events are free to attend at the point of access from 13-27 August.
